LS GEAR OILS 90 AND 85W/140

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

LS Gear Oils 90 and 85W/140 stand as exceptional gear lubricants, boasting unique limited-slip properties that significantly enhance differential performance. Tailored for optimal performance, LS Gear Oils 90 and 85W/140 are meticulously crafted to deliver the following enhancements:

  • Prolonged oil seal life.
  • Extended durability of gear surfaces.
  • Effective corrosion protection for yellow metals in both wet and dry environments.
  • Enhanced limited-slip differential functionality.

These outstanding characteristics are achieved through a blend of oxidation-resistant paraffinic-base oils and high-performance additives, including extreme pressure and limited-slip agents. This formulation ensures an extended service life for transmission drive lines.

Notably, LS Gear Oils 90 and 85W/140 possess the unique ability to reduce transmission drive line noise in scenarios characterized by low-speed, high-torque, high-speed, low-torque, and shock loading conditions. Additionally, the incorporation of foam inhibitors in LS Gear Oils 90 and 85W/140 prevents the formation of foam within transmissions. Foam is undesirable as it hinders effective gear lubrication and can lead to premature wear.

These lubricants come highly recommended for both OEM initial fill and subsequent service fill applications in conventional and limited-slip differentials, as well as in various final drives, transfer cases, steering gearboxes, and manual transmissions. Their versatility makes them suitable for use under both light and heavy operational conditions in car, truck, and tractor applications.

SPECIFICATIONS

LS Gear Oils 90 and 85W/140 meet or exceed the following demanding performance requirements:

  • API service GL5
  • US Military Specification MIL-L-2105D.

Always consult your vehicle owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s lubricant recommendations.
