Long Life Coolant Red is a concentrated antifreeze/coolant solution that utilizes ethylene glycol as its base, incorporating an advanced Organic Acid Technology (OATS) formula enriched with organic acid corrosion inhibitors that exhibit almost no depletion over time. This product is easily recognizable due to its distinctive red color.

Importantly, it is free of silicates, contributing to an extended pump lifespan, and it does not contain environmentally harmful substances such as nitrates, borates, phosphates, amines, or nitrites.

Long Life Coolant Red is fully compatible with traditional coolants and can be used to top up conventional coolant systems. In cases where it is mixed with heavy-duty diesel coolants, it is necessary for the user to continue adding Supplementary Coolant Additives (SCAs) for heavy-duty applications until the next coolant change.

This coolant product surpasses or meets various significant standards and is recommended for a wide range of European, Japanese, and US car engines, as well as heavy-duty diesel engines.

For adjusting the freeze point of the cooling water, Long Life Coolant Red can be directly added to the cooling system as a top-up.

Long Life Coolant Red is recommended for use in aluminium alloy petrol powered automotive engines, and in heavy duty diesel and natural gas mobile and stationary engines.

Provided the correct dosage of Long Life Coolant Red is maintained, flush and change the passenger car/light duty commercial vehicle cooling system contents every 5 years or 250,000 km. For heavy-duty diesel engines, Long Life Coolant Red more than doubles the life of conventional coolants to 500,000 km / 6,000 hours / 5 years; at the same time providing excellent protection against cylinder liner cavitation corrosion/erosion.

Long Life Coolant Red antifreeze/coolant must not be used neat to the engine cooling system but diluted up to minimum 33% or maximum 67% with good quality water. The dosage depends on the level of frost protection required and/or the manufacturer’s recommendation. For optimum year round protection against freezing, boiling and corrosion, 50% Long Life Coolant Red coolant solution is recommended.

While Long Life Coolant Red is compatible with hard water, the use of soft or deionised water is preferable to minimize scale deposits.

Do not mix Long Life Coolant Red coolant with other coolant products as the extended life benefits will be reduced. If mixed with more than 15% of conventional coolant, treat the cooling system as if it contains the conventional coolant or drain and flush the system and refill with Long Life Coolant Red.

Always start off with a clean cooling system by using a radiator flush or similar commercial cleaner at the change-over (especially if previously using conventional coolants). After draining the cleaner, flush thoroughly with clean water.

Inspect the cooling system. Make necessary repairs and tighten all hose connections.

The coolant should be changed out at overhaul or 5 years. Always dispose of the used coolant in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.

Because Long Life Coolant Red is silicate-free, the product can be stored for up to 8 years with no problem.

Advantages of using Long Life Coolant Red include:

  • Applicable in a wide range of OEM diesel, gasoline, and natural gas engines, streamlining coolant inventory management.
  • Offers an impressively extended service life, up to three times longer than conventional coolants.
  • Substantially reduces engine coolant expenses, potentially lowering costs by up to 60% compared to traditional options.
  • Extended service life: up to 1,000,000 km for truck engines, and up to 12,000 hours or 6 years (whichever comes first) for machinery and commercial engines, with the option to extend further through a single coolant extender addition at the initial service life’s conclusion.
  • For automotive engines, it is recommended to drain at 250,000 km or 5 years, whichever comes first.
  • Completely devoid of silicates and environmentally harmful substances such as borates, phosphates, amines, or nitrates.
  • Virtually eliminates hard water deposits and scale formation resulting from silicate drop-out within the cooling system, reducing maintenance needs.
  • Low total dissolved solids content enhances the durability of water pump seals and prevents gel formation.
  • Ensures exceptional heat transfer efficiency and provides superior protection for aluminum components during high operating temperatures.
  • The combination of organic carboxylate inhibitors offers outstanding defense against pitting, cavitation, corrosion, and erosion of cast iron cylinder liners and engine blocks.
