PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Food Grade Hydraulic Fluids are lubricants specifically designed for use in hydraulic systems within food processing facilities, where there may be occasional contact between the lubricant and food products. These fluids are also suitable for applications involving bearings, chains, and valves within canning and bottling machinery.
These hydraulic fluids are meticulously crafted from synthetic hydrocarbons, specifically Poly Alpha Olefins (PAOs), and incorporate specialized additive packages. These additives serve a dual purpose by offering exceptional wear protection and temperature stability, while also playing a vital role in preventing the accumulation of varnish and deposits within the machinery.
FOOD GRADE STATUS
Food Grade Hydraulic Fluids meet the NSF H-1 approval where incidental food contact can occur. All fluid components comply with FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 “Lubricants with incidental food contact”.
APPLICATION:
Food Grade Hydraulic Fluids are a preferred choice for hydraulic systems within food processing plants, as they are suitable for situations where there might be occasional contact between the fluid and food products. Additionally, these fluids excel as lubricants for bearings, chains, and valves found in canning and bottling machinery. They can be applied using various methods, including bath reservoirs, force-feed lubricators, or circulating pumps, offering versatility in their application.
BENEFITS
• Boasts a significantly longer service life compared to the majority of mineral-based lubricants
• Decreases maintenance efforts related to wear and mineral oil residue
• Prolongs the operational lifespan of equipment
• Compatibility with both mineral oils and most synthetic oils
• Minimizes the occurrence of varnish, lacquering, and deposits
• Dramatically lowers the risk of fire and explosion
• Features a high viscosity index for enhanced system performance
• Complies with all FDA Regulation 21 CFR 178.3570 requirements
Food Grade Hydraulic Fluids typically maintain their quality for a period of up to two years from the date of manufacture, assuming they are stored in sealed containers and kept away from heat and moisture.
It is advisable to consult the equipment manufacturer’s guidelines regarding viscosity grade, performance criteria, and general operating conditions before employing these fluids, as this ensures they are used in a manner consistent with the specific requirements of the machinery and systems in question.
