XHVI ZF HYDRAULIC OILS 15 – 100
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils represent a specialized class of top-tier zinc-free hydraulic fluids, meticulously engineered to excel under the most challenging conditions found in high-horsepower hydraulic systems. These conditions include extreme operating temperatures, high pressures, substantial power densities, and rapid fluid flow rates. These oils deliver exceptional and extended service life, thanks to a strategic blend of anti-wear, detergent, and remarkably shear-stable viscosity-enhancing additives, complemented by proven inhibitors that combat rust, oxidation, corrosion, and foam formation. Moreover, XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils guarantee outstanding filterability while maintaining hydrolytic and demulsibility stability.
BENEFITS
XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils are specifically engineered to provide exceptional protection in high-pressure, high-temperature environments, where powerful hydraulic pumps with substantial horsepower operate under pressures reaching up to 48,000 kPa (7000 psi). These advanced oils ensure trouble-free, extended service life for hydraulic systems facing increased power demands, elevated temperatures, reduced oil reservoir capacities, and faster de-aeration processes.
These oils also exhibit outstanding filterability, even when moisture contamination is present. In contrast, some other lubricants may produce deposits due to hydrolytic instability, particularly in non-ferrous hydraulic components. These deposits can clog filter systems, leading to pump starvation, cavitation, and premature equipment wear and failure.
XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils are formulated as multi-grade oils, displaying minimal viscosity changes across temperature variations compared to traditional fluids. This attribute is especially beneficial in high-power hydraulic systems operating at exceptionally high temperatures, as it results in improved, robust lubricant films, as opposed to the thinner consistency of conventional hydraulic fluids. This unique viscosity control is maintained by a highly shear-stable viscosity improver (VI) incorporated into XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils, preventing them from thinning out and compromising wear protection, thereby prolonging the life of hydraulic equipment.
Furthermore, these oils possess a high aniline point, ensuring excellent compatibility with synthetic rubbers, ultimately extending the lifespan of seals.
The potent oxidation inhibitors in XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils effectively curb oxidation, preventing oil degradation and reducing issues related to corrosion. This results in a longer lifespan for hydraulic fluid, consistent control valve operation, reduced filter blockage, and minimized downtime.
To combat foaming, these oils contain anti-foam additives that swiftly separate entrained air from the fluids, preventing wear-inducing metal-to-metal contact.
XHVI ZF Hydraulic Oils are also designed for multi-metal compatibility, effectively controlling wear and corrosion in copper and aluminum alloys commonly used in high-performance pumps. They contain corrosion inhibitors and metal passivators that protect steels and the aforementioned more vulnerable metals under harsh operating conditions. These oils are particularly recommended for use with silver components, such as those found in Lucas PM pumps. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, including circulating systems, bearings, general-purpose lubrication, and enclosed gear sets.
