PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Trans Oils are specialized Transmission and Drive Train Oils (TDTO) meticulously designed to meet the specific demands of the Caterpillar TO-4™ (2005 revision) specification. These oils offer a multitude of benefits, including a significant reduction in gear wear, enhanced friction control, extended lifespan for transmissions and brakes, reduced brake noise, and increased rimpull. Unlike conventional powershift fluids, which essentially function as engine oils meeting the less rigorous CAT TO-2™ and Allison C-2 specifications, Trans Oils are uncompromising in their performance.
The individual additives in Trans Oils have been carefully chosen to precisely modulate and manage friction in both metallic and modern non-metallic clutch surfaces. These unique frictional properties address issues such as excessive brake noise, degradation of binders in paper-based materials, and the stiffening of elastomeric components. Trans Oils maintain stable friction properties that eliminate clutch slippage, even when subjected to heavy loads on steep inclines, reducing the need for constant equipment adjustments.
Moreover, Trans Oils offer outstanding anti-oxidation characteristics, preventing sludge formation and enabling longer oil change intervals while ensuring consistent equipment reliability. Their low-temperature fluidity facilitates smooth cold weather startups and enhances wear protection during frigid conditions.
Long-term protection for gears and bearings is guaranteed by the inclusion of specialized anti-wear additives. Trans Oils also feature foam inhibitors that effectively combat foam formation, preventing metal-to-metal contact and further reducing wear. Additionally, these oils provide lasting protection against rust and corrosion for steel and copper-based materials, thanks to their inhibitor components.

Caterpillar™ Transmissions
Trans Oils meet the Caterpillar TO-4™ performance specifications and may be used in manual transmissions which have the API-CD/Caterpillar TO-2™ oil recommendation.
Trans Oils transmission fluids are the ideal product for Final Drives:
Track type: tractors, pipe-layers, skidders, loaders and track excavators
Wheel Type: tractors, loaders, skidders, compactors, motor graders, off-highway tractors and trucks.
Allison Transmissions
Trans Oil SAE 30 meets Allison C-4 specification and can be recommended wherever an Allison C-4 (or C-3) level fluid is required.
Fuller Road Ranger Transmissions
Trans Oil SAE 50 is also suitable in manual gearboxes specifying an SAE 50 engine oil or an SAE 90 gear oil up to API GL-3.
